K&S GmbH Projektmanagement is a leading service provider for the coordination and management of large collaborative R&D projects at the national and EU level. We support our clients — from leading universities and research institutes to global industry players — across all phases of R&D project execution.

With in-depth expertise in national and EU funding programmes, we provide project management, financial controlling and accounting, and coordination services for complex consortia tackling tomorrow's biggest challenges in fields such as mobility, energy, semiconductors, and digitalisation.

The role

We are looking for a Project Manager to strengthen our growing team. Depending on your experience, you could:

• Take on responsibility for coordinating large, multi-partner R&D projects, or
• Support project management activities while building your expertise and developing towards more responsibility over time.

This flexibility makes the role suitable both for recent Master's/PhD graduates interested in R&D funding, and for experienced project managers seeking a new challenge.

What you bring

Essential

• University degree (Master's or PhD) in engineering, science, economics, policy, or related fields
• Excellent English and German skills (C1+); strong writing and communication abilities
• Motivation to work in structured, international, and innovation-driven environments
• Solid Microsoft Office skills; openness to learning digital collaboration tools

Depending on experience, you may also bring

• Previous involvement in EU or nationally funded R&D projects
• Knowledge of project-management methodologies (certification is a plus)
• Experience in proposal preparation, partner coordination, or financial aspects of funding projects
• Familiarity with Horizon Europe, German national funding, or similar programmes

Nice to have

• Technical/scientific background
• Multilingual skills (e.g. German, English, another EU language)
• Experience with public-private consortia
